From a Successful Past into a Strong Future
The history of the company operating around the world today as Neuenhauser Vorwald began in 1920 with a small forge shop in the town of Hilter, near Osnabrück in West Germany. Heinrich Vorwald’s bold decision to build his own business paved the way that we continue on today. Originally focusing on wood processing, we’ve since become specialized in the development of expansion elements, while still continuing under the name “Vorwald” to emphasize our tradition as a medium-sized company, and to remind us how important boldness, flexibility and innovative thinking are. Success didn’t just fall into our laps here at Vorwald—it was and continues to be earned through dedication. We’re proud of this.
When we became one of the many medium-sized companies in the Neuenhauser Group in 1997, it was a major step. Rods, tie-rods and guide columns are used in presses, test equipment and injection molding machines. Our modern European facilities produce induction-hardened and stone-ground precision parts to your specifications.
Rollers, Cylinders & Knife Shafts
With our N|A|W|U rollers, cylinders and knife shafts, you’ll be well equipped. Our induction-hardened and cylindrical- or convex-ground rollers have several uses, including as supporting, straightening, working, driving and cutting rollers for the manufacture and processing of steel and NF metal sheeting and foils. They also have outstanding wear resistance.

Details
In addition to conventional measuring and 3D measuring technology, we use nondestructive testing, or NDT, methods. This includes the use of certified testers (levels 1–3) under ISO 9712 and ASNT.

We file all orders for quality testing services only under the term “contract measurement services”. Behind this term is a promise to assist our customers with inspecting their machinery and systems. The methods we offer include conventional measuring and testing, 3D measuring (including offline programming) and nondestructive testing.
